Some forty teams of firefighters worked to put out a blaze in northeastern Poland after two cargo trains collided.
Officials in the town of Bialystok said one train carrying tanks of oil was stopped on the tracks as it was hit from behind by another cargo train. Seventeen of the 33 oil tanks that the train was carrying caught fire.
Polish television pictures showed a huge fireballs rising into the sky as two of the tanks exploded before the fire could be put out.
